NTSDE Geography students tested their geographical skills and knowledge against students from all around Australia in the 2017 Australian Geography Competition.
Geography teacher Ms Cox recently received the results and is very pleased with how the students performed.
"Over 70,000 students from 743 schools across Australia entered the competition, and it's great to see how well our students are going", said Ms Cox.
Congratulations to the following students who performed extremely well:
- Miriam Ellen-Barwell, who won first place in the 'Australian Territories for Year 12' category. This means she won for the NT and ACT combined - an outstanding achievement! The photo to the right shows Ms Cox presenting Miriam with her certificate and atlas.
- Jarod Grisdale, Stage 2, also received a High Distinction.
- Hunter Torr, Year 10 received a Credit.
