This week we are having our first Residential School of 2017. Students have travelled from many remote areas including: Alyangula, Jabiru, Yulara, Nutwood and Suplejack Stations, Dundee, Maningrida and Alekarenge.
On the weekend, Stage 2 Biology and Stage 2 Chemistry workshops were held in the Darwin High School science labs so students can complete hands-on practical activities and experiments.
During the coming week our new facility will be buzzing with excitement as students participate in face-to-face lessons with their teachers and peers. For some students this will be the first time they have met their NTSDE teachers!
Throughout the week students will have the opportunity to participate in:
- Team sports events including lawn bowls,
- Excursions to Crocosaurus Cove, the Military Museum, the Bureau of Meteorology and the Menzies School of Health,
- Attend a live theatre performance,
- Plus much more!
We look forward to what the week has in store. Also, many thanks to Darwin High School for allowing us to use their wonderful facilities for the week.
